Who Screwed The Pooch?
He gave them the rope. Though Tiger woods definitely set himself up for the hit he’s taking. Who ever decided to make the whole thing public miscalculated the total out come.
The perceived conspiracy is reads like court intrigue. Tiger was becoming bigger than the game of Golf itself.
The high revenues and the large crowds Golf has experienced; in the past ten years...is due to Tigers, out standing abilities on the golf course.
No one can deny that he has raised the level of the game considerably. But Woods has done more than that. In a recent match with [Yi Ye Yang] Tiger played off. No he didn’t throw the match, but what he did was not concentrate on some shots as much as he needed to.
What this did was usher in the first Asian Golfer to win a major tournament in the history of the game. This also opened up a trillion dollar Asian franchise for the sale of golfing equipment and other merchandise associated with the game.
At the same time Golf was making a bid to be added to the roaster of events at the Olympic games. This helped that along by opening it up to more than just rich white guys.
But the true nature of Woods is to give to the game. Despite the popular thought that he’s [gun ho] to beat the record of...Jack Nicholus, he is more dedicated the sport.
So the sacrifices he made were also selfish in the sense that it helped to further the sport he loves and give him more competition.
No doubt some one whispered in Wood’s ear the benefits of not being a one man show. After all the lack of players playing at the level Woods played at, almost killed the game at one point. Other players felt they were just showing up to watch Woods make history.
And the idea of just being a supporting cast was eroding moral amongst the roaster of fine players in the PGA.
So the era of close finishes came into view on PGA golf courses, in those matches the featured Tiger Woods.
The idea of appearance fees also became a problem for some people. And this brings us to the heart of exposing Tigers infidelity. The purpose of the whole thing was to rock Tiger to his core. To strip away his ora of invincibility and make him vulnerable; to what was suppose to be hype for a shoot out; between Tiger and Phil Michelson, during 2010.
But the Pooch is screwed now because Tiger has made a decision that takes him out of the equation for 2010.
Now the question is who is going to have the last laugh. The heat is squarely on the shoulders for Phil, who though a very fine player in his own right has a problem when under too much stress.
The sponsors who are jumping ship right now and threatening to dump him altogether are playing with their own profits. The only question to be answered is will Tiger return to golf with the same prowess as he dominated the field with, before his sex oriented fiasco.
The clear winners will be Tiger, his family, Golf, Nike, and any one buying stock in the sponsors that choose to stay with Woods..
So if the idea was to destroy Woods, then what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. And knowing now who his real supporters are may just make Tiger less of a team player when it comes to expanding the game of golf; verses going after the titles and world records he chases.
So though we feel for his wife who has had to endure the worst possible humiliation at the hands of an out of control media.
We really do not need to cry for Tiger. Have clubs will dominate.

I am disappointed in Tiger Woods, having seen him as a squeaky clean athelete. He has tarnished and possibly destroyed his reputation, and for what?
Why do people think they'll never get caught?

Just the other day they were saying that Tiger is calling it quits. No more gold. I hope he doesn't think that his troubles will all the sudden disappear.
Sucks but doesn't it always seem to go this way. Anyways, I don't know much about golf let alone hit a golf ball but I was intrigued that his sponsors after everything still wanted to support him.
I have never seen that before but I don't know what they will do now since Woods quit.
I guess he will need to since I heard he is going to pay them all off. I hope his wife takes him to the 'cleaners'! lol.

Jeromeo. I’ve always been a huge Tiger fan but he totally had this coming. Anyone who thinks that in this day and age you can have affairs with 14 different women and keep it under wraps is a total fool. Thought Tiger was smarter than that. Dumb move to get married and even dumber move to have no prenup. He got what he deserved. I bet Earl is spinning in his grave. When he said before he died that Tiger would change the world, bet he wasn’t talking about this. Anyway I enjoyed your hub. I just did a hub about him too. Check it out and tell me what you think.

Hello Jeromeo,
Nice hub on Tiger Woods. I do not personally follow golf all that closely, but I will not be crying for Tiger. Thanks for the good read!
